Transport and storage
• Wipe the device clean with a dry cloth before storing.
• Store the device in its original packaging in a cool, dry and dust-free
area.
Installation
Caution
Use only Premium High Speed HDMI® certified cables for the best
picture and sound quality.
Warning
Place the Connect AE34 at least 15cm from any walls or ceiling,
to make sure there is sufficient air supply for cooling.
1. Switch off all devices (TV and audio). Unplug them if they cannot be
switched off.
Connect a 2
nd
audio system
To connect a soundbar and at the same time a 2
nd
audio system (AV-
receiver, amplifier, active speakers, etc.):
1. Place the Connect AE34 near the TV.
2. Connect your TV (eARC/ARC) (figure 4, pos. 6) to the
HDMI OUTPUT 1 (eARC to TV) port with an HDMI cable.
3. Connect a soundbar or other eARC/ARC enabled audio device (figure 4,
pos. 5) to the OUTPUT 2 (eARC) port via an HDMI cable.
4. Connect an amplifier or other audio device (figure 4, pos. 1) to the
OUTPUT 3 (audio only) port via an HDMI cable.
5. Optional: connect an amplifier or other audio device (figure 4, pos. 4) to
the OPTICAL port with an optical fiber cable.
6. Optional: connect an amplifier or other audio device (figure 4, pos. 3) to
the L/R port with a 3.5 mm stereo mini-jack cable.
7. Connect the power adapter (figure 4, pos. 2) to the DC 5V port.
8. Insert the electric plug.
9. Enable the eARC mode by pressing the eARC button.
