4.3.1. FireWire 800
1) Follow steps 4.1. Setting The RAID Level and 4.2. Creating An Array to
establish a RAID array.
2) Connect the 9-pin end of the FireWire 800 cable into the FireWire 800
port on the back of the LaCie Biggest F800.
3) Connect either the other end of the 9-pin FireWire 800 cable into
an available FireWire 800 port on your computer, or connect the 6-pin
end of the FireWire 800/400 cable into an available FireWire 400
port on your computer.
It will take a few seconds for your computer to recognize the drive and
for it to appear on the desktop or in My Computer.
Your LaCie Biggest F800 will now need to be formatted. Go to section
4.5. For
matting And Partitioning Your LaCie Biggest F800, for more
information.

Important Info:
The LaCie Biggest F800 ships with both a
FireWire 800 9-to-9-pin cable and a FireWire 800/400 9-
to-6-pin cable. The FireWire 800 9-to-9-pin cable is used
when the host computer has a FireWire 800 port. The
FireWire 800/400 9-to-6-pin cable is used when the host
computer only has a FireWire 400 port.
