6.8.2 Connecting the ETHERNET Port via a Network Hub (Straight-
Through Cable)
You can connect the Ethernet port of the VS-44HDxl to the Ethernet port on a
network hub or network router, via a straight-through cable with RJ-45
connectors.
6.8.3 Configuring the Ethernet Port
After connecting the Ethernet port, you have to install and configure it.

6.9 Controlling via the REMOTE Connector

to route an input
to an output by remote control.
To route input 1 to output 8 as an
example (see Figure 9):
1. Momentarily touch output # 8 to
Ground (G)
2. Momentarily touch input # 1 to
Ground (G)

In the dual-link mode, only inputs 1 and 2 and outputs 1 to 4 are used (as are
the INPUT and OUTPUT selector buttons, respectively). Remote input PINs 3
and 4 and Input Selector buttons 3 and 4 are not used, as well as Remote
output PINs 5 to 8 and Output Selector buttons 5 to 8.
