Step 5: Connect the Refrigerant Pipe
1. Unscrew the valve cover, then gently grasp and press it down to remove it (if
applicable).
2. Remove the protective caps from the ends of the valves.
3. Remove the plastic cover from the pipe ports, check for any debris on the port of
the connecting pipe, and ensure the port is clean.
4. Align the centre, then rotate the flare nut of the connecting pipe and tighten it by
hand as much as possible.
5. Use a spanner to hold the valve body and a torque wrench to tighten the flare nut
according to the torque values in the torque requirements table (refer to the
Torque Requirements table in the installation precautions section).
