Installation of the cooker hood
8.5 Mounting the appliance
• Remove the filter / cover plate
from the underside of the appliance.
• Then proceed as described in the section
corresponding to your desired installation type.
Under-cabinet mounting
• Determine the desired mounting position for installing
the appliance in the centre above your hob
in accordance with the instructions and dimensions
mentioned before
and hold the appliance against the underside
of the selected piece of furniture in this position
with the help of another person.
Note: For operation with exhaust air via the front
ventilation slots, make sure that the appliance
protrudes far enough from the front of the furniture so
that the exhaust air can flow freely upwards
away from the appliance.
• Mark the position of the 4 screw holes on the top
of the appliance and, for operation with exhaust air
via the rear exhaust air opening, also mark the
position of the exhaust air socket on the underside
of the furniture base via the open underside of the
appliance / from the inside of the appliance
and put the appliance down again.
• Drill a hole with a diameter of 6 mm
at each of the corresponding markings .
• For operation with exhaust air via the rear exhaust air
opening saw out the cut-out for the exhaust air
connection additionally, using a jigsaw or similar.
• Position the appliance accordingly on the furniture
and screw it to the pre-drilled points using the
ST4×30 screws supplied.
