Preparing the appliance for installation

with exhaust air via the front ventilation slots
• Remove the deflector (1) pre-installed on delivery
from the fan motor by loosening the screw
on the front rounding of the fan motor (1.1),
grasping its socket or the angled upper edge
of the curved deflector (1.2)
and pulling the deflector component (1)
out of the gap between the fan and the air duct
so that the exhaust air can flow into it
and is channelled to the ventilation slots
on the front edge of the top of the appliance.
...for recirculation or exhaust air operation
with exhaust air via the rear air outlet
• Remove the round cover from the pre-punched
opening at the rear edge of the top of the appliance,
e.g. by carefully pushing a flat-blade screwdriver
into the edge joint, separating the disc
and then levering it out.
• Attach the supplied exhaust air connection piece
to the opening created in this way (2).
• Ensure that the deflector (1) is inserted
at the front curve of the fan motor.
