8.5 Mounting the appliance
Preparing the appliance for installation
• To prevent air leakage in exhaust air mode
(i.e. backflow of outside air),
install the supplied non-return valve (2-part)
on the top of the appliance in the air outlet.
Note: This step is not necessary for recirculation
mode or if there is already a non-return valve
in the exhaust air duct of your kitchen.
Mounting under a wall cabinet
To attach the hood to the underside of a wall cabinet
or similar, proceed as follows:
• Remove the metal filters from the hood,
lift the hood body and place it on the bottom
of the hanging furniture in the desired position.
• Mark the size and position of the air outlet
and the cable connection, as well as the drill holes
on the furniture bottom from the inside of the hood
and put the hood down again.
• Saw a recess for the exhaust air opening and the
cable connection in the furniture bottom
and pre-drill the screw hole markings accordingly.
• Screw the supplied screws into the holes provided
on the bottom of the furniture, but not completely yet.
• Place the screw holes in the top of the hood
onto the screws, move the hood body so that the
screws slide into the narrow part of the screw holes
and tighten the screws from the inside of the hood.
