Only use pans that are suitable for an induction hob.
Once the induction hob has been connected to the power supply, a beep will sound and the power indicator will flash.
Theinduction hob is standby and ready for use.
The induction hob functions through electronic sensors that are operated by touching the corresponding touch controls.
Ateach touch of a touch control, you can hear a sound signal.
START COOKING
• Switch on a cooking zone by pressing the ON/OFF key for three seconds. If no power level is selected within 60 seconds,
the cooking zone switches off automatically.
• Place a suitable pan on the cooking zone.
• Select the required power with the + key or - key.
In order to bring the food to a boil quickly, select the required power level and touch the B key to activate the Boost function.
STOP COOKING
• Switch off the cooking zone at any time by pressing the ON/OFF key for a few seconds.
• The ON/OFF key always has priority in the switching off function.
• Watch out for hot surfaces. An [H] on the display indicates that a cooking zone is too hot to touch. The [H] disappears
once the temperature of the cooking zone has dropped to a safe temperature.
USING THE BOOST FUNCTION
The Boost function provides extra power and can be set for one zone each time.
Switching on the boost function
• Switch on a cooking zone and select the required power level.
• Press the
key. The boost function is active when a B is shown in the display of the cooking zone concerned.
After 5 minutes, the cooking zone automatically switches back to the previously set power level.
Switching off the boost function
• Press the
key once more and the cooking zone automatically returns to the previously set power level.
• Or select another power level to switch off the boost function.
Once a different cooking zone is switched on, the Boost function of the previously selected cooking zone is cancelled.
Thismeans that the boost function can only be used when only one cooking zone is active.
In that case, the power of the second cooking zone is reduced automatically. The required power reduction is shown
through flashing of the cooking zone concerned. The display flashes for 3 seconds and during that time adjustments
canbemade before the power is reduced automatically.
RESIDUAL HEAT INDICATOR
The residual heat indicator shows that the glass is still too hot to touch in the area of the cooking zone.
If the area of the cooking zone is still too hot, a [H] appears on the display of the cooking zone concerned.
Oncethetemperature has dropped, the [H] indication disappears.
KEY LOCK
The key lock is intended for locking and setting a safe mode during use. Changes to a higher power or other changes are
notpossible. In this mode it is only possible to switch off the cooking zone.
The key lock is active when the key lock
is pressed. This is confirmed by a sound signal. The display shows [Loc]
andoperation of the cooking zone is blocked.
To cancel the key lock, hold down the key lock
for a few seconds.
ADJUSTING THE KITCHEN TIMER
The timer is coupled to a cooking zone and can be set separately for each cooking zone.
• Switch on the cooking zone.
• Adjust the power with the + and - keys.
• Press the TIMER key
of the cooking zone concerned. The display shows 0:00.
• Set the required time using the + and - keys.
• By pressing the + or - key of the timer controller once, the time is shortened or increased by 1 minute.
• By holding down the + of - key, the time is shortened or increased by 10 minutes.
• When the set time has expired, a beep signal sounds and the timer shows “_ _”. The programmed cooking zone is
switched off and “H” appears on the display if the area of the cooking zone is hot.
