9.2.10 Controlling counter modules
The control signals for the activated counter modules are transmitted in the cyclic process data of the
Counter 1...Counter 8 modules.

When configuring the process data, symbol nodes are automatically created for the control signals of
all enabled counter modules:
Requirements:
ü The device is integrated into the project.
ü The process data is configured.
u In the [Solution Explorer]: Under [SYSTEM] > [Tasks] declare all required variables of the
appropriate type.
u Link the symbol nodes of the control signals with the declared variables.
w The user can access the control signals in the application via the variables.
9.2.11 Reading counter events
The device can indicate overflow and underflow events for all enabled counter modules.
The events are accessed via the object area Information area (0x9000 - 0x9FFF) (Ò/59).
The overflow and underflow indication for the main counter and the batch counter must be
activated separately Configuring the counter modules (Ò/35).

Access options:

After an overflow or underflow, the corresponding event display will remain active. The event display
must be reset manually.
