To configure the process data:
Requirements:
ü The TwinCAT project has been created.
ü The device is integrated into the project.
u In the [Solution Explorer]: Double-click on the device node.
w A detailed view of the device appears.
u Select the [Slots] tab.
w The detail window shows slots and the modules available in each case.
u Assign the desired module to each slot.
w Cyclic input and output data has been configured.
u Save the project.
w The process data is configured.
w In the [Solution Explorer], symbol nodes are created for the configured process data.
9.2.5 Setting the arrangement of the digital input channels
The device has 16 digital input channels. The input channels are assigned to pins 2 and 4 of each
port:

The arrangement of the digital input channels in the process data can be set.
Available options:
• Pin-based: Mapping: DI channel mapping - pin-based (Ò/54)
• Port-based: Mapping: DI channel mapping - port-based (Ò/54)
The parameters are set via the object area Configuration area (0x8000 - 0x8FFF) (Ò/57).

Access options:
• CANopen over EtherCAT (EoE): Using CANopen over EtherCAT (CoE) (Ò/40)

9.2.6 Configuring the digital input filters
u Observe the notes on input filters: Digital input filters (Ò/8)
The digital input channels each have a digital input filter. The process value can be pre-processed
using the input filter. The filter of each digital input channel can be configured separately.
The parameters are set via the object area Configuration area (0x8000 - 0x8FFF) (Ò/57).
