1: L+ (US; sensor supply)

u Connect the IO-Link devices to ports X1...X4. Maximum cable length per port: 20 m.
u For connection, use M12 connectors (minimum protection rating: IP65 / IP66 / IP67).
u Tighten the cable plug using 1.3 ± 0.1Nm.
6.6 IO-Link ports (Class A)
IO-Link devices (sensors, actuators) are connected to the ports X5...X8.
The IO-Link ports meet the requirements of IO-Link specification 1.1.4.
• The connected IO-Link devices may only be supplied via the corresponding ports.
• The ports have an additional digital input each (type 2, according to IEC 61131-2).
• Port X8 has an additional digital input to put the device into recovery mode.
The ports are equipped with short-circuit detection (US).
The ports have voltage peak and overvoltage protection.

u Connect the IO-Link devices to ports X5...X8. Maximum cable length per port: 20 m.

6.7 Functional earthing
The FE potential is connected to the following points of the device:
• Upper mounting lug of the housing
• Port XD1: socket thread
• Ports XD1 and XD2: Pin 5 (FE)
• Ports XF1 and XF2: socket thread
• Ports XI1 and XI2: socket thread
To ensure electrical interference protection, proper function and safe operation of the appliance:
u Connect the FE connection to the system earth or GND of the supply via the shortest route.
6.8 Voltage supply
The device is connected to the supply voltages US and UA via the XD1 port.
The US supply voltage supplies the device and the sensors connected to the ports X1...X8.
The UA supply voltage supplies the actuators connected to the X1...X4 ports.
The XD1 port is equipped with overvoltage protection (US, UA).
