4.6 IODD management
The device has an integrated repository for device description files for IO-Link devices (Input Output
Device Description - IODD).
IODD management offers the following functionality:
• Selective storage of IODDs on the device
• Management of the IODDs stored on the device (adding, deleting)
• Optional: Automatic download of IODDs from the IODDfinder portal ioddfinder.io-link.com
• Provision of IODDs for other components of the IoT Core, e.g. IODD extender
