u Provide all outgoing cables with suitable strain relief after a maximum of 400mm. Observe the
minimum bending radius of the cables (Ò information from the cable manufacturer).
ATTENTION
No protection rating / no protection of the contacts without mounted connectors / protective
caps.
w Inadmissible soiling / moisture possible.
w Separation of circuits / safety might be impaired.
u Before installation / when replacing the device, observe pollution degree 2.
u Ensure separation / safety.
u Cover unused connections with protective covers. Tightening torque: 1.3 ± 0.1Nm
For the cULus scope of validity:
u To connect the device, only use UL-certified cables belonging to category CYJV or PVVA with a
minimum temperature of 65°C and AWG 24 - AWG 16.
6.3 Ethernet ports (OT level)
The device is connected to the OT level via the eth2 and eth3 Ethernet ports, e.g. ifm IoT Core-
enabled devices.
Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) is not supported. The connection of PoE components is not permitted.
For the cULus scope of validity:
The device may only be connected to Ethernet networks running indoors without leaving the facility
and without being exposed to TNV circuits.

u Connect the device to the OT network via a free Ethernet port.
u For connection, use M12 connectors (minimum protection rating: IP 65 / IP 67).
u Tighten the cable plug using 1.3 ± 0.1Nm.
6.4 Ethernet ports (IT level)
The device is connected to the IT network level via the ports eth0 and eth1.
Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) is not supported. The connection of PoE components is not permitted.
For the cULus scope of validity:
The device may only be connected to Ethernet networks running indoors without leaving the facility
and without being exposed to TNV circuits.
