1. Disconnect the power and data cables (1) from the rear of the drive.
NOTE: When removing the cables, pull the tab or connector instead of the cable itself to avoid
damaging the cable.
2. Press the green lever (2) to release the drive, and then slide the drive (3) out of the front of the
computer.
To install the optical drive, reverse the removal procedure.

To remove the front bezel, use these procedures.

Before removing the front bezel, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 19).
2. Remove the access panel (see Access panel on page 19).
3. Remove the optical drive (see Optical drive on page 20).
