Sanding against contact wheel
NOTE
If the workpiece turns blue during sanding, it is overheated and can be damaged.
Reduce the sanding abrasion or cool the workpiece in water.
• Make sure that the protective shield (1) is folded down and the
cover of the sanding surface (1b) and the protective cover (1a) are
closed.
• Connect an extraction system or close the opening of the
extraction connection (2).
• Fold up the rear cover (3).
• Position the workpiece rest (4).
• Switch on the machine (5).
• Turn the select switch (6) to the right: Direction of rotation of the
sanding belt clockwise
MSM75_3IN1_400V only:
Select the sanding belt speed (7).
• Place the workpiece on the workpiece rest parallel and at 90° to
the sanding surface and press against the sanding belt (8).
NOTE: Hold the workpiece firmly with both hands. Do not force the
workpiece against the sanding belt.
• Once the sanding process is complete, switch off the machine (9).
Surface sanding
• Make sure that the protective cover (1) is closed and the
protective shield (1a) and the rear cover (1b) are folded down.
• Connect an extraction system or close the opening of the
extraction connection (2).
• Open the cover for sanding surface (3).
• Switch on the machine (4).
• Turn the select switch (5) to the left: Direction of rotation of
the sanding belt counter clockwise.
MSM75_3IN1_400V only:
• Select the sanding belt speed (6).
• Support the workpiece against the work stop (7) and guide it
slowly, with light and even pressure against the running
sanding belt, using a push block for support if necessary.
NOTE: The workpiece must not be pressed against the sanding
belt with force.
• Once the sanding process is complete, switch off the machine
(8).
Pipe sanding
Select a sanding roller with a suitable diameter for the respective workpiece.
• Fold the protective shield upwards (1).
• Clamp the workpiece
Adjust both clamping prisms (2) to the workpiece to be sanded: V-
shaped clamping prism for round pipes, flat side of the clamping
prism for flat and square material
• Loosen the screw (3) of the clamping prism.
• Turn the clamping prism so that the desired shape is
facing inwards (4).
• Repeat this process with the 2nd clamping prism (2).
• Position the workpiece between the clamping jaws (5).
• Clamp the workpiece with the clamping lever (6).
• Position the cross support so that the surface of the
clamped workpiece to be processed is facing the sanding
belt. Fix the position with the clamping lever (7).
• Sanding angle
• Loosen the locking screw (8).
• Turn the workpiece clamping device at the desired
sanding angle.
• Tighten the locking screw (8).
