Check the following points before calling for repair. If the refrigerator still does not work correctly, contact a Hitachi customer
service center for product information and handling of the problem.

Not cold
Have 24 hours passed since the installation?
Cooling may take 24 hours or more. Place food at
interval time and refrain from opening and closing the
door within 24 hours. Cooling will take a longer time
during summer or when large amount of food is stored.
There is no ice
As the entire refrigerator is not cooled immediately after
installation, it takes more than 24 hours for the first ice to be
made. Place food at appropriate intervals, refrain from
opening and closing the doors as much as possible, and wait.

Control Panel is not
working

Is a Refrigerator Compartment door open?
Please close the door after use.
Are you wearing gloves or do you have a plaster
on your finger?
Touch directly with your finger.
Are you touching another area of the touch panel
at the same time?
Touch only the area you wish to operate.
Are there water drops or dirt on the Control Panel?
Remove the dirt with a damp cloth and then wipe it
with a dry cloth.
Not cold enough
Ice cream is soft.
Refrigerator is not cold
Is food or a bag stuck in a door so
that it cannot close completely?
Remove the food and close the door. Ensure the height of
the food do not exceed the limit.
Have you packed food in forcibly or put a large
amount of food in the refrigerator at once?
Keep gaps between food when storing it.

Deactivate “Energy Saving” mode.

attached properly?
Attach them properly.
Is the ambient temperature around the
refrigerator too high, such as in summer?
Change the temperature setting of the compartment
which does not cool well.
Did you open one of the doors for a long time or
did you open and close it too frequently?
The temperature inside the refrigerator gradually rises while one
of the refrigerator doors is open. Frequently opening and closing
the doors or leaving a door open for a long time makes it difficult
for the temperature in the refrigerator to drop. Open and close
the doors quickly or open and close them as little as possible.
