Placing the drill holes

WARNING

Risk of injury!

Improper installation of the appliance

can lead to injury.

■ Before drilling the holes, ensure that

no wires or cables (power, gas, water

etc.) will be damaged (check with a

line locator).

CAUTION

Fire hazard!

Improper handling of the appliance can

lead to ﬁre and damage to property.

■ The minimum distance between the

supporting surface for the cooking

vessels on the hob and the lowest part

of the range hood. (When the range

hood is located above a gas appliance,

this distance shall be at least 65 cm. If

the instructions for installation for the

gas hob specify a greater distance,

this has to be taken into account. The

distance of 65 cm can be reduced for

– non-combustible parts of range

hoods, and

– parts operating at safety extra low

voltage,

provided these parts do not give ac

cess to live parts if deformed).

1. In order to place the appliance exactly over

the centre of the cooker, first use a pencil

to draw a vertical guiding line on the wall.

Ideally, use a level or a plumb bob from

the ceiling of the room to the middle of

the cooker.

2. Draw the six drill holes on the wall accord-

ing to the diagram on Page EN-14. Make

sure the distances between the holes

are correct.

3. Drill holes at the marked points, using a

diameter that can accommodate the wall

plugs.

4. Place the wall plugs into the holes.

1. Place the two halves of the check valve

(14) into the opening on the top of the

exhaust hood.

Make sure that the pins (15) on the valve

are facing outwards.

2. Screw the two round-head screws (12)

for hanging the exhaust hood into the

wall plugs.

There must be enough space between the

wall and the heads of the screws so that

the exhaust hood exhaust hood can be

hung by the keyhole openings.
