Mode selector
Torque adjustment
The tool is equipped with three modes for different applications. Turn the mode selector ring (2) to
select the desired mode. Drill mode should be used for drilling and other heavy-duty applications.
Hammer mode should be used for hammer drilling. Drive mode should be used for driving screws.
When using screwdriving mode, proper torque
setting helps prevent the possibility of damaging
screw heads, threads and workpiece. The
fastening torque can be adjusted by turning the
torque adjustment ring (3).
If unsure of the setting required start with a lower
torque setting and increase gradually as required.
Alternatively drive a trial screw into a test
workpiece to determine which torque level is
needed.
Drilling mode (rotation only,
torque adjustment not active)
Screw driving mode (rotation with
clutch, torque adjustment active)
Hammer drilling mode (rotation
with hammering, torque
adjustment not active)
Level 1 has the minimum
fastening torque and level
20 has the maximum
torque.
The proper setting
depends on the type of
the material and the size of
screw you use.
