Warming up or toasting bread rolls
In order to warm up or toast bread rolls it is
necessary to set up the bread roll grill(1).
• Set up: Press down the bread roll grill
lever (7). The bread roll grill is positioned
directly on top of the toasting slots (2).
Then use the toaster in the normal way.
• Lower: Push the bread roll grill lever
upwards.
CLEANING AND STORAGE
Please Note!
■ The device is not dishwasher-safe!
■ Do not use any sharp or abrasive clean-
ing agents or cleaning pads to clean the
device. These may damage the surfaces.
• Make sure that the device is unplugged
and has cooled down completely.
• Empty the crumb tray regularly:
1. Pull out the crumb tray.
2. Remove crumbs and wipe the crumb
tray with a damp cloth if necessary
or rinse it under running water with
mild detergent.
3. Thoroughly dry the crumb tray and
reinsert it.
• Wipe down the outside of the device
with a clean, damp cloth.
• Store the device away in a clean, dry
location that is out of the reach of
children and animals when not in use
for aprolonged period.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the device does not work properly, check
whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved
with the steps below, contact the customer
service department.
Do not attempt to repair
an electrical device yourself!
The device cannot be switched on.
► The mains plug is not inserted in the
plug socket correctly.
The fuse in the fuse box is triggered.
► Too many devices are connected to the
same circuit.
The bread gets stuck in the device.
► The bread is tilted. Pull the mains plug
out of the plug socket. Move the low-
ering lever up and down a few times to
release bread which is stuck.
► The bread slices are too thick.
During use, an unpleasant smell is
detected. / Smoke emerges from the
device.
► The device is dirty.
► The device is being used for the first
time. A smell often develops when new
devices are first used.
