CLEANING AND STORAGE
Please Note!
■ Allow the device to warm up to room
temperature before it is cleaned.
■ Do not use any sharp or abrasive clean-
ing agents or cleaning pads to clean the
device. These may damage the surfaces.
• Make sure that the device is disconnected
from the power supply.
• If necessary and before or after a long
period of non-use, follow the steps in
the “Self Cleaning” section.
• Drain residual water from the device:
1. Pull the device over the edge of the
surface it is resting on until it is pro-
truding out by approx.6 cm.
2. Hold a vessel with a sucient ca-
pacity below the protruding device
and pull out the drain plug (6) on the
bottom of the device.
3. Allow all of the water to drain out.
4. Insert the drain plug all the way back
in the device.
• Ice cube container and ice scoop:
Clean with warm water and a little
detergent if necessary.
• Housing: Regularly remove dust from
the ventilation openings. If necessary,
wipe down the housing with a damp
cloth. If there is heavy soiling, use a little
detergent if necessary.
• Thoroughly wipe down accessories and
device (inside and outside) with a dry
cloth.
• Store in a dry, clean, frost-free place
that is protected from direct sunlight
and cannot be accessed by children or
animals.
Self Cleaning
The device has a self cleaning programme
which should be used at least once or twice
a month, and more frequently if the device is
used regularly.
1. Drain any remaining water (see previous
section).
2. Soak a cloth in a water / vinegar solution
and use it to wipe the inside of the
device.
3. Fill the water tank (2) with fresh water
(see the “Preparation” chapter).
4. Plug the connecting cable into a plug
socket. The symbol L(12) flashes.
5. Start the self cleaning programme:
Press
and hold the ON / OFF button (15) for
a few seconds until the symbols
S(10)
und L
flash alternately.
The device pumps the water through the
device for approx.15minutes and then
switches to stand-by mode.
6. Drain the water from the device (see
previous section).
7. Use the device in the usual way or pre-
pare it for storage (see previous section).
