3. Align the ridge inside the replacement knob (located behind the dot on the knob) with
the groove on the potentiometer (see figure 16).

4. If necessary, rotate the knob until its ridge slides into the potentiometer groove and
the magnet pulls the knob all the way to the unit.
Replacing Button Labels
Kits containing additional printed labels can be ordered for the MLC at www.extron.com
and inserted into the buttons on the unit. You can also download, free of charge, the
Extron Button Label Generator software, which enables you to create your own button
labels to print out and insert.
To replace button labels:
1. Remove the faceplate from the unit (see Removing and
Replacing the Faceplate on page 16).
2. Insert the small end of the provided pry tool into one of
the four notches in the corners of the clear button cap
that contains the label to be changed.
3. Rotate the pry tool carefully to avoid damaging the
button, until the cap pops off of the diffuser.
4. Remove the current label from inside the button cap and
replace it with the new one.
TIP: To avoid damaging the button label when removing it, turn the button cap
upside down and tap it on a hard surface until the label falls out. Alternatively,
insert into the button cap a lightly adhesive tape or gum product that will tempo-
rarily adhere to the label, to pick up and pull the label out.
