Removing the Faceplate from a Mounted Unit
After an MLC has been mounted, the faceplate lies flat against the mounting surface, so
that it is difficult to grasp it and pull it off of the unit.
To remove a faceplate from a unit that has been mounted:
1. Insert the narrow end of the provided pry tool into the notch at the bottom of the
faceplate.
2. Press the wide end of the pry tool toward the mounting surface until the notched
edge of the faceplate is levered free of the unit.
3. Remove the faceplate the rest of the way from the unit.

Placing the Faceplate onto the Unit
To return the faceplate to the MLC after having removed it, align the button openings in
the faceplate with the MLC buttons and place the faceplate onto the mounted unit so that
its four corner magnets stick to the metal mounting plate.
Removing and Replacing the MLC 55 RS VC Volume Knob
The volume control knob is held in place by a magnet on the volume potentiometer. If
desired, you can change the volume knob as follows:
1. Remove the faceplate from the unit (see Removing and Replacing the Faceplate
on the previous page).
2. Remove the knob by grasping it firmly and pulling it away from the unit until it is free of
its magnet.
