You can use Simple Instruction Set (SIS) commands to configure the DA412GHD‑SDI.

Using Simple Instruction Set (SIS) Commands
The DA412GHD‑SDI accepts SIS commands from a host device such as a computer
running the Extron DataViewer utility or other control system. The host device can be
connected to the mini Type B USB config port on the front panel.
Host‑to‑unit Communications
SIS commands consist of one or more characters per field. No special characters are
required to begin or end a command sequence. You can enter these commands from your
computer using a communication software program such as Extron DataViewer. When the
distribution amplifier determines that a command is valid, it executes the command and
sends a response to the host device.
Responses from the DA412GHD‑SDI to the host computer end with a carriage return and
a line feed (CR/LF=]), which signals the end of the response character string. A string is
one or more characters. Unless otherwise stated, upper and lower case characters can be
used interchangeably.
Unit‑initiated Messages
When a local event such as a change in signal status takes place, the DA responds by
sending a message to the host, indicating what change has occurred. No response is
required from the host.
The distribution amplifier sends the following message when it is first powered on:

• V X& is the firmware version number.
• N is the catalog number for the product.
