Secure mode - key lock/child lock
To switch on the key lock/child lock:
12. Touch the lock key for 2 seconds.
13. The appliance switches to secured mode.
14. The timer display shows the light message Lo.
You can still operate these keys now:
• the ON/OFF button
• the lock key.
To switch off this function
15. Select the lock key for 3 seconds.
16. The Lo light on the timer display goes out.
The appliance is ready for operation.
Timer
Setting the timer from 1 to 99 minutes. The timer can be set for all cooking zones:
Timer function as timer, without selecting a cooking zone.
Timer function for automatically switching off a selected cooking zone.
17. Select the ON/OFF button.
18. To select the cooking zone, touch the desired selection button.
→ The cooking zone switches on. The display of the selected cooking
zone flashes.
19. The heating performance can be selected between 1 and 9. To
regulate, slide the sliders - / +.
→ The display of the selected cooking zone shows the power level.
20. Touch the Timer key.
→ The Timer LED display shows 10. The ones digit flashes.
21. Use the + or - buttons to set the desired time (in minutes).
22. Touch the Timer key.
→ The Timer LED display shows 15. The tens digit flashes.
23. Touch the + or - buttons a little longer and set the desired time
(in 10 minutes).
➢ After a few seconds, the set time appears on the timer display and
the remaining time is displayed.
➢ The timer time can be set every minute or every 10 minutes (touch
the - or + keys a little longer).

The timer display counts down and shows the remaining time.
After the previously set time has elapsed, an acoustic signal sounds for 30 seconds:
• the set time has expired
• the timer display shows - -.
➢ Other cooking zones that were already in operation before the timer
function was set will continue to operate.
