Safety circuit
If one or more cooking zones are accidentally left on, a safety shut-off is activated after a
certain time.
• The time period depends on the power level set for this zone.
• If both zones are in operation at the same time and one of them reaches its safety
shut-off point, only this zone is switched off.
The table below shows the time limits for each power level.

10 Cleaning and maintenance
Before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance work, switch off the appliance and allow
it to cool down completely.
WARNING
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Leaks on the glass ceramic hob
Never use a steam cleaner for cleaning. Moisture could get into electrical components.
CAUTION
DANGER OF SCALDING!
by hot water when cleaning.
The water temperature must be selected so that there is no risk of scalding!
CAUTION
CUT!
when using razor blade scrapers!
Razor blades are extremely sharp.
Glass ceramic hob
Clean the glass ceramic hob with a damp cloth and wipe dry with a dry cloth.
Clean the glass ceramic hob with hot water and washing-up liquid or with a commercially
available ceramic hob cleaner.
Wipe away spilled food, food residues and grease splashes immediately.
In the following cases, immediately set the energy supply to "P0" and
• in case of sugar residues, treat the surface with hot water.
• for fragments of aluminium foil and accidentally melted plastic/plastic material,
treat the surface carefully with hot water and a razor blade scraper.
• Remove stubborn dirt with special cleaners.
• When using special commercially available glass ceramic cleaners, always follow
the manufacturer's instructions!
