9 Operation
Operating the glass ceramic hob
The hob is equipped with cooking zones of different diameters and powers. It is clearly
marked on the hob which area heats up when the hob is switched on. For the best heat
output, place the cookware exactly on the designated cooking surface.
WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK DUE TO DEFECTIVE GLASS CERAMIC
HOB!
The glass ceramic hob cannot be switched off.
• Immediately switch off the household fuse and contact the customer service.
• Do not carry out any repairs on the unit.
WARNING
BURNS CAUSED BY HOT SURFACES OF THE GLASS
CERAMIC HOB!
Cooking hobs and their surroundings become very hot.
• Do not touch hot surfaces.
• Always switch off the hob after cooking.
• Do not place empty pots or pans on the hobs.
Suitable cookware
The cooking surface and the bottom of the pot must always be clean and dry.
• Use pots and pans with a flawless, smooth bottom
• Heat-resistant cookware "Follow manufacturer's instructions".
Do not use pots that are made of plastic or whose inner side is coated with aluminium.
Clean the hob after each use
ATTENTION
SURFACE!
Damage to the glass ceramic hob due to rough pot bottoms.
Only use cookware that is in perfect condition.
Wipe the hob with a damp cloth and a little washing-up liquid.
Wipe the hob dry with a clean cloth.
Remove any food residues and grease splashes immediately.
