8.6 Special safety instructions
Safety of vulnerable persons: Children and persons with reduced abilities.
WARNING
DANGER TO THE LIVES OF CHILDREN!
• This appliance may be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and or
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children must not play with the appliance. Keep small children (under 8 years)
away from the appliance.
• Do not allow children to carry out cleaning and user maintenance unless
supervised.
• Children are not allowed to use this appliance unless they have been trained to do
so. They must be able to operate the appliance correctly and understand the
dangers to which the operating instructions refer.
Procedure in case of fire:
• NEVER extinguish a fire with water.
1. Switch off the appliance: Close the power supply on all energy regulators/selector
switches and switch off the household fuse.
2. Cover flames carefully, e.g. with a lid or a fire blanket.
3. If fire spreads, call the fire brigade, inform other residents and leave the house.
HOT SURFACES! KEEP CHILDREN AWAY!
Ensure that the room is well ventilated so that odours and smoke are quickly removed.
Depending on the circumstances, open windows or switch on ventilation.
Enamel coating
During normal use, the enamel coating may change colour. This is completely normal
and does not impair the function and other usage properties of the appliance and is
therefore not a defect in the sense of warranty law.
