AIRW WIRELESS CONTROL WITH DMX CONTROLLER

Thanks to AirW wireless technology, you can link several devices wirelessly and control them synchronously

with a DMX controller. The integrated AirW card works as a transmitter or receiver at 2.4 GHz. The devices

must be configured accordingly.

Note: Depending on the ambient conditions the range is up to 70 m (line-of-sight). To optimize range and

performance maintain a line-of-sight between the transmitter and receiver(s) and position the devices at least

1 m above the audience and other obstacles.

The control signal from the DMX controller is fed into the transmitter. The transmitter then sends the DMX

signals wirelessly to the receivers. Configure the devices as indicated below.

Transmitter

1 Configure the DMX settings in the transmitter menu ( page 45). To do this, call up the DMX menu item.

Now select the DMX channel mode and the start address.

2 Enable transmission mode. To do this, call up the AirW menu item. Then select the transmitter setting:

TX > CH1.

Note: The transmitter and receiver(s) must be set to the same transmission channel. There are 16

channels available. This allows you to operate up to 16 independent radio links in parallel. There is no

limit to the number of devices per channel, but the radio signal becomes weaker the greater the distance

to the transmitter.

Receiver

1 On the receivers, set the same DMX channel mode as on the transmitter.

2 Enable receiver mode. To do this, call up the AirW menu item. Then select the receiver setting: RX >

CH1.

The AirW radio link is established and the devices are paired within 30-60 seconds. Once the receivers

receive the DMX control signal from the transmitter, all devices work synchronously.
