III. PREPARATION FOR USE
Remove all the packing material and take out the appliance. Remove all possible adhesion
foils, stick-on labels or paper from the appliance. Place the appliance on a suitable flat
and dry surface. Leave free space for due ventilation. Vents in the appliance ensure air
circulation during ventilation and they must not be covered or blocked in another way.
Make sure that the power cord is not damaged and that it does not lead any sharp or hot
surfaces. The electric socket must be easily accessible so that the appliance can be easily
disconnected from power supply if danger appears. Plug the power cord connector to an
electric socket.
Appliance installation and placement
Place the appliance the best under a window or on a place with a possibility of warm-air
exhausting with a minimum distance of 60 cm from the rear and side walls (or other
obstacles). Also observe instructions specified in chapter devoted to safety warnings.
Preparation for the use
– First of all, prolong the hose D1 by simple extension as needed (Fig.1A).
– Put adapters D2 and D3 onto the both ends of the flexible hose D1 (Fig.1A) by “screwing”.
– After that, insert the adapter D2 into the holder of the warm-air drainage hole A5 on the
air-conditioner body (Fig. 1B).
– Lock the second end with the adapter D3 in the gap of an opened window, of the hole in
the window insulation for the mobile air-conditioner (it is not included in the package; you
may buy it in different specialized shops and e-shops) or in another proper hole.
