!
• Immediately clean up any liquid spills, especially foods with a high sugar content or
sugar splashes, to prevent them from burning on the glass-ceramic surface.
• Remove carbonised residue with a squeegee and special cleaning products.
• To clean your glass-ceramic hob, use a soft sponge and water with washing-up liquid
or a commercially available detergent recommended for glass-ceramics.
• Dry the appliance with a soft, clean cloth.
• Never clean the hob with a pressure or steam cleaner.
• Do not use objects that could scratch the appliance (e.g. scouring pad or the tip of
a knife, etc.)
• Do not use abrasive cleaning products that could damage the appliance.

Problems Possible causes Solutions
The touch-sensitive

to use.
The touch-sensitive
buttons are covered
with water or
grease.
Make sure the surface of the touch-
sensitive buttons is clean and dry.
The glass of the hob
is scratched.
Cookware with
rough edges.
Use cooking utensils with a fl at,
smooth base. Consult the "Quality of
the pans and containers" section.
You are using an
abrasive sponge or
cleaning product.
See the "Maintenance and cleaning"
section.
Some utensils make
crackling or clicking
noises.
This can be caused
by the construction
of your kitchen
utensils (layers of
different metals that
vibrate in different
ways).
This is normal for cookware and does
not indicate a defect.
The induction
hob makes a low
humming noise
when used at a high
temperature setting.
This is caused
by the induction
cooking technology.
This is normal, but the noise should
quieten down or disappear completely
when you lower the heat setting.
Fan noise coming
from the induction
hob.
A cooling fan built
into the induction
hob has kicked in to
keep the electronics
from overheating.
It may continue to
run even when you
have turned off the
induction
hob.
This is normal and requires no action
to be taken. Do not unplug the
induction hob from the wall outlet
