The recommended minimum storage of frozen items is -18°C or colder.

storage time.

Food that has been thawed and not cooked should never be refrozen and then stored in the
freezer.
Do not freeze too much food at once. The faster the food freezes, the more it will retain its
qualities.
Always wrap food with a protective cover with a tight seal to prevent drying out and loss of
flavour and to prevent contaminating other products.
Before freezing, label the packages of cooked food and fresh products so that they can be easily
identified, and specify the contents and date of freezing.
Do not eat foods whose maximum storage period has expired, as they could cause food
poisoning.
IMPORTANT:
Never put bottles or cans in the freezer. They can shatter when their contents freeze and fizzy or
still drinks (such as lemonade, fruit juice, beer, sparkling wine etc.) may even explode!
Receptacles containing inflammable gases or liquids can leak at low temperatures. This could
cause an explosion! Do not store any containers in this appliance that contains flammable
materials, such as spray cans, fire extinguishers, ink cartridges, etc.
Do not put ice cream or ice in your mouth immediately after taking it out of the freezer. Very cold
ice can freeze on your lips or tongue and hurt you.
Never touch frozen food with wet hands. Your hands may stick to the food.
Do not place or use electrical appliances (such as electric ice cream makers, blenders, etc.) in
the freezer.
Never try to remove foods that have become stuck in frost with sharp or pointed objects as this
may damage the refrigeration circuit. Use a plastic scraper only.
Make sure there is at least 5 mm between the frozen foods in the freezer and the freezer lid.
Storage and energy saving tips
Refrigerate or freeze only good quality food products.
Before placing hot foods in the fridge/freezer, allow them to cool to room temperature.
Before freezing, divide the dishes into small portions. This will reduce the time required to freeze
and you will only need to thaw the portion you want to eat.
Place the food to be frozen near the freezer wall and ensure that it does not touch other frozen
foods already in the freezer.
When making ice cubes, it is recommended to use an ice cube bag instead of an ice cube tray.
If you use an ice cube tray (not included), fill it ¾ full of cold water and place it on a flat surface. To
remove the ice-cubes, gently twist the ice tray or place it under running water for a few seconds.
An evenly filled appliance contributes to optimal energy use.
Open the lid as briefly as possible, making sure it is closed properly to minimise cold loss and
reduce energy consumption.
If the freezing of food takes a long time, the quality of frozen food products deteriorates. Refer to
the nameplate or product description of your appliance to find out the maximum quantity (in kg)
of food that can be frozen in 24 hours.
