With KSI = Off, when the vehicle is “pushed” such that the voltage generated by the permanent magnet motor
rises above the brownout voltage (~ 16V ± 1), the controller will wake-up, pull-in the main contactor and
control the motor speed based upon the Speed Limit parameter.
The Push-Too-Fast function will work with Key Off regardless of the push switch status.

If using the keyswitch-off Push & Push-Too-Fast functions, do not use an EM Brake. Use a hand-released brake,
which allows pushing the vehicle when the controller is off to generate the controller’s wake-up voltage.

Figure 7 illustrates a non 1229–xx05 model application utilizing a “push” input when KSI = On. In
this example, to enable the “push” feature, set the 90-Push Input parameter to the switch number
3 (90-Push Input = 3). e EM Brake must be wired to Driver 2 (pin J1-4), and enabled in the EM
Brake parameter menu in order to release the brake. If a mechanical parking brake is used, release
it prior to pushing the vehicle, knowing that the operator must manually re-set the brake. With the
keyswitch on (controller powered) and the push input active, the speed limit will “work” by shorting
the motor.
