Changing the lower cutter

Switch o the appliance.

To remove the cutter, open the cover. Disengage the upper cutter and set the needle(s) in the highest position. Use the large screwdriver to

loosen the retaining screw (A) on the lower cutter. Remove the screw and the lower cutter.

To t the new cutter, insert a new lower cutter into the recess provided and tighten the retaining screw. Hook in the upper cutter and close the

cover.

6. TROUBLESHOOTING

These machines are designed to be easy to operate and do not require complicated adjustments. Sewing problems of the type described below

may occur due to minor setting and operating errors. They can be easily corrected by following the instructions below.

The needle is not correctly inserted. Insert the needle correctly.

The fabric has been pulled too tightly. Do not pull the fabric while sewing.

The thread breaks Not threaded correctly. Thread the thread correctly.

The thread has been hooked. Check if the thread catches on the spool pin.

The thread tension is too tight. Adjust the tension.

The needle is not correctly inserted. Insert the needle correctly.

You have used the wrong needle. Use the correct needle.

The appliance skips stitches Needle is bent or has a damaged tip. Insert a new needle.

The needle is not correctly inserted. Insert the needle correctly.

You have used the wrong needle. Use the correct needle.

The thread is not threaded properly. Thread the thread correctly.

Stitches are not formed correctly Thread tension adjustment is not correct. Adjust the thread tension.

The 3 or 4-thread overlock seam has an

irregular appearance, and the upper thread

has not been interlocked in the seam.

The converter is attached. The converter must not be attached.
