Beading foot

This presser foot is used for sewing on beads, sequins, rhinestone ribbons, decorative and ordinary cords.

Setting the machine

Set the machine to make 3-thread overlock seam (narrow or wide depending on the size of the beads). The stitch length should be between 3

and 4.

Operation

Raise the needle to its highest position and insert the presser foot. Insert the bead cord into thread guide 1 and

pass it under thread guide 2. It should be about 5 cm behind the presser foot. Secure the beads in place with a

few stitches. Next, place the fabric right side up under the presser foot and sew the beads on the edge.

Note: for sewing on beaded cords, we recommend threading the two loops with thick thread and correcting the

tension if necessary.

If you want to sew the beading on the fabric as shown in the gure below, the needle thread tension should be loose (approx. -5).

Turn the fabric inside out and guide the fold over the top as you sew. Pull the fabric apart; the beads will be on top. Carry out a sewing test rst.

Lace sewing foot

With this presser foot you can sew lace and wide ribbons to each other or to another piece.

Setting the machine

Set the machine to 3-thread overlock seam (narrow) and select a stitch length between 1.5 and 2.

Operation

Raise the needle to its highest position and insert the presser foot. Use the large screwdriver to loosen the screw

(1) and adjust the thread guide (2) so that the needle enters the lace as close to the edge as possible. After that,

tighten the screw (1). Place the lace on the fabric, with the two fabrics right sides facing each other, 1.5 to 2 cm

away from the edge (depending on the seam allowance) and sew it on.
