Note: once the thread chain has been formed, it is no longer necessary to lift the presser foot lifter as long as you continue to work with the

same thread and the same presser foot. If you wish to work on another garment, simply lift the front of the presser foot slightly with your thumb.

Then, slide the garment under the raised part of the presser foot. When the foot control is pressed, the feed dogs pick up the garment and move

it forward.

Thread cutter

After nishing a seam, continue sewing a thread chain of 15-20 cm. Pull the thread chain towards the front over the thread cutter. The thread

chain will thus be cut.

Changing the presser foot

Switch o the appliance.

To remove the presser foot: raise the needle(s) to the highest position and raise the presser foot. Press

the white lever on the back of the presser foot holder. The presser foot is automatically released from its

holder and can be removed by pulling it to the left. To do this, lift the spring slightly.

To install the presser foot: raise the spring slightly and insert the presser foot under the holder so that

when the presser foot lifter is lowered, the pin of the foot is properly locked into place.

Lift the presser foot lifter to make sure that the presser foot is correctly xed.

Unhooking the upper cutter

Switch o the appliance.

Raise the upper cutter to the highest position by turning the handwheel. Unhook the part shown in the

gure and open the looper cover. After that, slide the upper cutter holder all the way to the right.

Turn the end of the upper cutter away from you until it is xed in a horizontal position.
