4. Unsatisfactory Outputs
❏ Printed images are too dark (or light).
Solution
From the printer driver, open the Autopalette Properties, select the
Color Setup tab, and specify a lower value in the Gamma parameter.
Alternatively, specify a lower intensity.

Color Setup tab, and specify a higher value in the Gamma parameter.
Or else specify a higher intensity.
Check point
Printed images are too dark
(intense).
Printed images are too light
(faint).
❏ Printed images are in one color.
Solution
From the printer driver, open the Autopalette Properties, select the
Special effects tab, and select full color. If the Image Effects
checkbox is on, turn it off.
Some applications have their own one color options. Verify the set-
tings

Is the one color option selected
within the application software?
If stored (or used) for a long period of time without making an adequate number of
prints, too dark images may be printed.
