• Freeze in portions. Suitable packaging materials
include plastic film, tubular polyethylene film, alu-
minum foil or freezer-safe cans.
• Seal the packaging airtight and moisture-proof.
The air should be pressed out of the packaging as
far as possible before sealing. Rubber rings, plas-
tic clips, twine or cold-resistant adhesive tape are
suitable for secure sealing.
• Label the packaging. Each pack should be la-
beled with the contents and freezing date to en-
sure an overview and control of the storage peri-
od and stocks.
Storage times
The specified storage times are guide values for the
maximum storage of various foods in the freezer at
-18°C or colder and proper packaging.

Storage times may vary depending on packaging,
freshness and type of food. In the event of loss of
quality (e.g. freezer burn), the product should be
sorted out prematurely.

To switch off the appliance, disconnect it from the
power supply.
The following procedure is recommended for longer
periods of decommissioning:
• Completely remove all food and frozen goods to
prevent spoilage and unpleasant odors.
• Defrost the appliance completely, if necessary,
depending on the model. Then carry out thor-
oughly cleaning to remove residues, ice formation
and possible germs (see
chapter “Cleaning
and maintenance”
).
• After cleaning, leave the appliance door open or
open it a crack to ensure sufficient air circulation.
This prevents the formation of mold and unpleas-
ant odors.
Tips for energy saving
• Disconnect the appliance from the power supply,
if it is not in use for a longer period.
• Do not place the appliance near a stove, radiator
or other heat source, as high ambient tempera-
tures place a greater strain on the compressor.
• Ensure adequate ventilation at the base and rear.
Never cover ventilation openings.
• Leave all shelves, racks and drawers (depending
on the model) in their original position.
