• Remove the door handle and attach it to the other
outside of the door. You will find instructions on
this in the
“Installing the door handle”
sec-
tion. Insert the cover caps into the now free drill-
ing holes on the opposite side.
• Carefully check the fit of the door seal. If neces-
sary, move the seal into the correct position.
Check that the door is optimally aligned vertically and
horizontally to ensure that the door opens and closes
smoothly.
Startup / Operation
Intended use
The appliance is intended for use in private house-
holds.
The freezer is suitable for long-term storage of com-
mercially available frozen food, freezing fresh food at
room temperature and for making ice cubes.
Prior to first use
CAUTION:
After transportation, the appliance must be left in an
upright position for at least four hours before it is
connected to the power supply. Otherwise, the cool-
ing system may malfunction, and the appliance may
fail as a result.
Clean the interior of the appliance and all accesso-
ries thoroughly before using it for the first time. Fol-
low the instructions in the chapter
“Cleaning and
maintenance”.
Starting the appliance
• Connect the appliance to the power supply.
• Set the operating conditions. Read the following
sections.
Only store food once the appliance has cooled
down completely.
Operating overview
Temperature setting
• Press the (SET) button. The LED for the current
temperature level starts to flash - the level can
now be adjusted.
• Each time you press the (SET) button again, the
temperature setting changes in the following se-
quence:
↪ –14°C → –16°C → –18°C → –20°C → –22°C ↩
After about 5 seconds without any further input, the
selected setting is automatically applied.
Super freezing function
When the function is activated, the appliance auto-
matically operates at maximum power to speed up
the freezing process:
• Keep pressing the (SET) button for approx.
3 seconds to activate the function. The corre-
sponding LED lights up if the function is active.
The super freezing function prevents the formation of
large ice crystals, preserves the quality and fresh-
ness of the food and enables quick freezing as well
as the rapid production of ice cubes.
NOTE, in super freeze mode the noise level is
slightly higher than in normal operation.
After about 50 hours, the function switches off auto-
matically and the appliance returns to the preset
internal temperature.
The function can be ended manually at any time
before the switch-off time expires:

Keep pressing the (SET) button again for approx.
3 seconds to deactivate the function.
