Before the rst use

1. Set up the device and connect it (see the “Setting Up and Connecting the Device” chapter).

2. Operate the appliance without food for about 10 minutes to remove any existing production

residues. The rst time you use the appliance, you may experience a slight odour that will

disappear after a short time. Therefore, ensure good ventilation. After sufcient cooling, clean

the product as described under Cleaning and Care.

Setting the clock

1. Press and hold the Favourites button (4) for a few seconds until the clock in the display

ashes.

2. Setting the hour: press the Keep Warm button (5) or Raise button (6) until the correct

hour is reached. Then press the Favourites button (4) again to set the minutes. The minutes

are likewise entered using the Keep Warm button (5) or the Raise button (6).

3. Press the Favourites button (4) again to save the time.

NOTE

• After the time has been set, no operation is performed for one minute.

Setting up and connecting the device

PLEASE NOTE!

• Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly installed. The plug socket must

also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly

be isolated. The mains voltage must match the technical data of the device.

• Lay the connecting cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and

does not come into contact with hot surfaces (also applies to the hot surfaces of the

device!).

• The device may only be operated in an upright position, never on its side, tilted or upside

down.

• Do not use the device in conjunction with extension cables.

• Always set up the device with a clear space at the sides (at least 20 cm) and clear space

above it (at least 30 cm) on a at, solid, heat-resistant and hard-wearing surface.

• Do not place the device below kitchen wall units or similar cupboards. The rising heat

could cause damage to them!
