• Only toast unpackaged bread/pastry products.
• Do not cover the toasting slots, either with bread rolls or bread slices, or with other objects
such as cutlery during operation.
• Only toast bread and pastry goods without a spread or topping of butter, sugar or other
foodstuffs.
• Do not toast pastry products which could melt. The device could be damaged by food which
has melted or catch re!
• Only use suitable bread/pastry products. Do not toast any extremely dry baked goods such as
crispbread as they can easily catch re.
• If bread or parts of the device catch re, do not try to extinguish them with water under any
circumstances. Remove the plug from the socket and smother the ames with a re blanket
or a suitable re extinguisher.
NOTICE – Risk of damage to material and property
• If there are problems during toasting, pull the mains plug out of the socket and allow the
device to cool down. Remove anything that may be stuck in the toasting slot by moving the
lowering lever up and down a few times.
• Switch off the device and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket if an error occurs during
operation, when there is a power cut or before a thunderstorm.
• When you pull it out of the plug socket, always pull on the mains plug and never the mains
cable!
• Never pull or carry the device by the connecting cable.
• Protect the device from other heat sources, re, sub-zero temperatures, persistent moisture,
wet conditions and impacts.
• Use only original accessories from the manufacturer in order to guarantee that there is no
interference that may prevent the device from working and to avoid possible damage.
