Snap-On Presser Foot
The thread cutter is located on the left side of your Splendor.
At the end of a seam, sew off the fabric edge and continue sewing to
create a 5-6 inch (127-152mm) thread chain.
Bring the thread chain up, from the back to the front and through the
thread cutter.
Conveniently located on top of the machine is a magnetic
needle rest that prevents needles from rolling around and get
-
ting lost.
The Splendor has a convenient snap-on presser foot system.
To Release:
1. Raise the needles to their highest position.
2. Raise the presser foot lever.
3. Lock the cutting blade down.
4. Push the presser foot release lever located at the back of the
presser foot holder.
5. Slide presser foot slightly toward you and carefully turn the back
section of foot clockwise 90 degrees.
6. Slide the presser foot to the back to remove.
To Replace:
1. Raise the needles to the highest position.
2. Raise the presser foot lever.
3. Lock the cutting blade down.
4. Slide the foot from the left to right.
5. Align the bar of the foot with the groove in the holder.
6. Lower the presser foot lever to snap presser foot into place.
The presser foot that comes with the Splendor has three separate tape slots located on the front
section of the presser foot. Insert tape or ribbon through the appropriate slot and then under the
presser foot (see page 58 for detailed instructions).
The raised marks on the toe of the presser foot indicate the needle positions which help when
guiding fabric for accurate seaming.
