Caster Kits (purchased separately TT-RCK)

DID YOU KNOW? Caster Kits may be purchased to transfer an empty

cabinet. The load capacity of these Caster Kits is 800 lbs.

NOTE: Interference could exist between racked-equipment and caster.

See Initial Rail Setup section before proceeding.

CAUTION: Tall rack cabinets are not stable during any transport and can

easily fall over. A fully loaded rack is more susceptible to falling over. Do

not move a loaded cabinet on a caster kit. Take care moving an unloaded

cabinet on a caster kit. Please use an appropriate number of people or

appropriate equipment to safely handle the weight.

1. It is best to install the caster kit on an unloaded cabinet.

2. Carefully lay the cabinet on its side.

A. Locate the metal truck installation points on the bottom of the

cabinet.

B. Fit the metal truck bracket to the front or rear of the cabinet.

C. Install the metal truck bracket to the cabinet using the

/16-18 x

/4" hex bolts and (5)

/16-18 hex nuts. The bolt head

should be installed underneath the main cabinet interior.

D. Repeat steps B and C with the second metal truck bracket.

3. Remove caster kit before loading equipment into the rack.

Floor Installation

CAUTION: Ensure adequate manpower is available to help safely install

the cabinet. Empty cabinets may weigh up to 300 lbs. Moving rack

cabinets can present dangers to both personnel and the installed equipment.

CAUTION: Use eye protection and protective gloves while installing the cabinet.

Locate and use the mounting holes on the bottom of the cabinet to install unit to the floor.

NOTE: It is easiest to install the cabinet to the floor before loading. Be sure adequate room exists to get tooling into the bottom areas of the cabinet.

After installation to the floor, the bottom rack unit may or may not be usable. Consult Equipment Installation section.
