5.6. Stop the engine
To stop the engine in an emergency, you will simply need to turn the engine switch to the OFF
position. Under normal conditions, use the following procedure:
1. Move the throttle lever to the SLOW position:
2. Let the engine idle for a minute or two.
3. Turn the engine switch to the OFF position.
4. Turn the fuel valve lever to the OFF position:
Warning
It is not recommended to stop suddenly at high speed under heavy load. Engine damage could
occur. Do not move the choke control to CLOSE to stop the engine. Kickback and engine
damage may occur.
6. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
Maintaining your forklift will guarantee a long useful life for the machine and its components.
6.1. Preventive Maintenance
1. Shut off the engine and disengage all control levers. The engine must be cold.
2. Keep the engine throttle lever in its SLOW position and remove the spark plug wire and
secure it.
3. Inspect the general condition of the truck. Check for loose screws, misalignment or
binding of moving parts, cracked or broken parts, and any other conditions that may
affect safe operation.
4. Use a soft brush, vacuum cleaner, or compressed air to remove all contaminants from
the machine. Then use light, high-quality oil to lubricate all moving parts.
5. Check the spark plug wire regularly for signs of wear and replace it when necessary.
Warning
Never use a pressure washer to clean your wheelbarrow. Water can penetrate both narrow
areas of the machine and its transmission box and cause damage to different components
such as spindles, gears, bearings or the motor. Using the pressure washer will shorten the life
and reduce the serviceability.
6.2. Hydraulic oil
Operate the valve levers to raise the loader to the highest position and tilt the hopper to the
end. Unscrew the oil plug and drain the oil into a container.
