normally protected by a cap with gasket, which, insofar as xed to the device
with a screw, ensures a high level of protection against dust and moisture.
To remove the cap, unscrew the screw located along the bottom edge. This
is easy to do using a coin or even with bare hands. This will free the sockets,
allowing the connector at the end of the headset/microphone cable to be
inserted, pushing it all the way in, making sure it is inserted in the right
direction determined by the dierent diameter of the plugs. If insertion
proves diicult, do not force the connector but rather extract it and try again,
checking that the parts are properly aligned. Once the plug is inserted,
inbound transmissions will be reproduced by the headset while the content
of the transmission will be captured by the microphone inserted on the
cable, as opposed to the device’s internal microphone. The headset sits
comfortably in the ear, ensuring improved insulation from surrounding
noise.
To remove the accessory, pull the connector towards yourself, extracting it
from the device. Ret the cap, inserting it from the top and screwing the
screw back in without over-tightening it. Bear in mind that the device’s level
of protection against dust and moisture is inevitably reduced once the cap
is removed, which, being very small, is easy to lose. Keep it in a safe place
when not in use.
