ADVANCED OPERATIONS
By pressing the P3 button (fig. Page 11), the display shows
the battery voltage for about 3 seconds. This indication is
useful for understanding the residual autonomy of the
apparatus. Voltage values greater than 4 volts guarantee
full operation, while values below 3.8 volts indicate the
imminence of the need to proceed with the relative rechar-
ge. In any case, the device indicates a completely dischar-
ged battery by emitting three consecutive tones.
Checking the Battery Voltage
A call melody can be sent to correspondents on the
selected channel, in order to draw attention to a conversa-
tion if necessary. To proceed with the call melody, press the
P2 button for 3 seconds (fig. Page 11). The apparatus will
switch to transmission and emit the direct call melody to all
correspondents listening on the selected channel and from
the speaker. At the end of the melody it is possible to
converse normally.
Call Melody
Like the call melody, the radio is able to transmit the sound of
a siren on the selected channel. This function is useful to
warn correspondents of a dangerous situation and, at the
same time, to act as an acoustic localization device. To
activate the alarm siren, press the P3 button for 3 seconds

In order to prevent accidental channel switching, the
channel selector can be locked on the current selection. To
proceed with the channel lock, press the P1 button (fig.
Channel Lock
In this way, the channel selection is blocked, allowing only
transmission and reception on the selected channel. If it is
necessary to select a different channel, the blocking
function can be deactivated by pressing the P1 key again
for three seconds, an operation that cannot reasonably
take place due to accidental circumstances. The device will
confirm unlocking with the "Unlock" voice message, while
"OK" will appear on the display for a few moments and the
number of the selected channel will be announced.
