Installation Instructions
Preparation & Installation
At least two installers are required due to the
weight and size of the insert.
CAUTION
1. Install blower into insert:
AK82 - Blower is pre-installed. Refer to page 18
for dual blower conversion instructions.
AK83 - Refer to page 14 for instructions.
NOTE: Remove blower mounting support screw
located on top of the motor housing before
installing the hood into cabinet.
2. AK82 - Install 10” round adapter to the top of
insert if converting to dual internal blowers.
AK83 - Install 10” round adapter to the top of
insert if using dual internal or remote blower.
3. Install optional stainless steel liner accessory.
Review manual included with liner for more
details.
4. If no liner is used, cut an opening in the bottom
of the cabinet by following the dimensions in
FIG. B.
5. Remove bae filters and spacer panels from
insert.
6. Lift insert into opening and secure to bottom of
cabinet using (7) M4 x 25 stainless steel screws

with options A or B:
A: Normal finish; secure (4) screws on the bottom and (3) screws in the rear.
B: Screwless finish; secure (3) screws in the rear and (2) screws per side.
NOTE: Wood blocking may need to be added to cabinet base if additional support is needed.
7. Install ductwork and seal with duct tape.
8. Install electrical.
9. Remove all packaging materials before using insert. Switch power on and check for leaks around
duct tape.
10. Re-install spacer panels and bae filters.
