REMOVING BATTERY
The battery must be removed from the appliance before it is scrapped.
The appliance must be disconnected from the supply mains when removing
the battery.
The battery is to be disposed of safely.
Before removing the battery, make sure the appliance is completely
discharged.
1. Press hand vacuum cleaner release button (4) to remove it from upright vacuum cleaner (2).
2. Press dust box release button (8) and remove the dust box (9).
3. Remove the rating label from hand vacuum cleaner (5).
4. Unscrew the 5 screws on the side of the handheld vacuum cleaner (5).
5. Disassemble handheld vacuum cleaner (5) body cover.
6. Disconnect the wires from the connector and take out the battery.

This product complies with European Directive 2012/19/EU on electrical and electronic devices,
known as WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), provides the legal framework ap-
plicable in the European Union for the disposal and reuse of waste electronic and electrical devic-
es. Do not dispose of this product in the bin, instead going to the electrical and electronic waste
collection centre closest to your home.
The product may contain batteries. Remove them before disposing of the product and dispose in
special containers approved for this purpose.
