To clean the lter unit (16) or to get rid of persistent dirt from the dust box (9), remove the dust box (9):
1. Take the hand vacuum cleaner (5), point it with the suction side down, put your hand around the dust box
(9) and press the dust box release button (8).
3. Remove the lter unit (16) from the dust box (9) using the protruding handles. Shake the contents of the
dust box (9) into the waste container.
4. Remove any dirt from the pre-lter (18). Holding the EPA lter frame (17), turn the pre-lter (18) and
disconnect the two lters.
5. Rinse the lters (17 and 18) thoroughly under cold running water. Do not use soap or other cleaning
agents.
FULLY air-dry the lters before reassembly.
6. Reattach the pre-lter (18) by rotating it on the EPA lter (17) until it locks into place.
7. Insert the lter unit (16) into the box (9), aligning the EPA lter frame with the arrow towards the front wall
of the box. The EPA lter frame must line up inside the dust box, otherwise the box will not want to lock onto
the hand vacuum cleaner.
8. Fit the dust box (9) into the hand vacuum cleaner (5) by rst hooking the back of the dust box (9) onto
the locking device on the back of the hand vacuum cleaner (5), then latching the dust box by positioning the
dust box release button (8) into the matching opening of the dust box (9).
Important: do not use cleaning devices to clean the lter. Do not use drying devices to dry the
vacuum cleaner, only allow it to dry naturally.
Tip: it is recommended to change the bottom lter every three months (according to the conditions
of use) to ensure the best performance.
CLEANING OF THE POWER BRUSH
Hair and threads can accumulate on the revolving brush (23) of the power brush (12) during use.
These must be removed in order for the appliance to operate effectively.
1. Before cleaning, disconnect the power brush (12) by pressing the release button (11).
2. Slide and hold the switch (21), remove the revolving brush latch (22), then remove the revolving brush
(23).
3. Carefully remove hair and dirt from the revolving brush (23), using scissors if necessary.
Wipe the brush with a dry cloth. Do not use soap or other cleaning agents.
4. After cleaning the revolving brush (23), reinstall it in the power brush (12), lightly press the protruding
four-walled brush (23) element into the slot and insert the latch (22) to lock.
5. If the revolving brush (23) is damp, allow it to dry before tting.
