4.3.4 Defrosting of food
Defrosting uses the microwave function. Make sure the materials used are suitable for the
chosen preparations.
4.3.4.1 Defrosting by weight
The microwave power during defrosting by weight varies and is maximum 300 W. The microwave power cannot be
set manually.
To defrost by weight:
1. Place the food to be defrosted in the middle of the turntable and close the door.
2. Press the DEFROST button.
The display shows d-1.
3. Adjust the weight of the food to be thawed using the selector dial. The weight indictor
lights up. The weight can be set from 100 grams to 2000 grams, in steps of 10 grams
between 100 and 1000 grams and in steps of 100 grams between 1000 and 2000 grams.
4. Press the CONFIRM START/+30S button to start defrosting.
5. When half of the defrosting time has elapsed, a signal sounds to indicate that the food
must be turned over.
ATTENTION! The appliance does not stop automatically.
6. Open the door to pause the defrosting and turn the food over. The appliance pauses
defrosting.
7. Close the door and press the CONFIRM Start/+30S button to continue defrosting.
4.3.4.2 Defrosting by time
The microwave power during defrosting by time is 300 W and cannot be set manually.
To defrost by time:
1. Place the food to be defrosted in the middle of the turntable and close the door.
2. Press the DEFROST button twice.
The display shows d-2.
3. Set the desired time with the selector dial.
4. Press the CONFIRM START/+30S button to start defrosting.
4.3.5 Two-stage food preparation
• Two-step preparations can use either the microwave or convection function. Make sure the
materials used are suitable for the chosen preparations.
• When the defrosting function is used, it will automatically be set as the rst step of the
preparation.
• The cooking timer, Auto Menu and Preheating cannot be used in two-step food preparation.
• The CONFIRM START/+30S button can be used to increase the preparation time except
when defrosting by weight is set.
Example of a two-step preparation: defrost 500g of frozen food and then cook for 7 minutes at 80% (800W)
microwave power.
