The door can be installed to open either left or right by
changing the position of the key latch strike or by rotating
the entire frame. The strike is installed with 2
(SCR#4X3/8PPB) screws on either side of the frame. It has
slots that allow for final adjustment with the door latch. The
six door mounting screws (SCR832X5/16PPMB) go into
the PEM inserts located along the inside edge on the top
and bottom of the frame. Some or all of these screws may
need to be removed to install the connector panel. For final
door installation, start all six of the screws and then slide
the door flanges into place. Push the door frame against
the back box and tighten the screws.

WFSD 12" Surface Mount Enclosures
with Locking Door
are surface mount, hinged door assemblies attached to a
matching 12”x 12” NEMA Type 1 style back box. These units
provide an attractive, locking door enclosure with a
recessed connector panel inside the back box. Two recess
depths are available: 1” and 2.5”. A blank connector
mounting plate (part# WFI12X12) is included with the
complete assembly.
Whirlwind can also punch, load and engrave identical
panels that replace the one included, ready to wire and
install for contractor convenience.
The WFSD12 enclosure is almond in color, the 12x12" back
box is 4" deep and has no conduit knockouts. Back box
mounting holes are added by the installer to suit the
application.
